MEP and sustainable design for the AFEZ (Alat Free Economic Zone), a major 7,000 hectare development set to play a significant role in the economic growth of Azerbaijan.
MEP and Sustainable design for the AFEZ (Alat Free Economic Zone) project. Working closely with the principal consultant Garland Consultancy and other international partners within Pivotal Design Build International on the new 7,000 hectare site in Azerbaijan.
The Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ) is set to play a huge role in the economic growth of Azerbaijan, and the design team played a significant role in creating a world-class, regional investment hub, with the first phase of development opening in July 2022.
Master planning and infrastructure schematic design was completed for the whole 7,000 hectares of the site, along with the first stage of the project, which included a 10,000 m² office building to house the FEZ and port authorities and lettable space for FEZ tenants.
